Yes, our choices aren't fixed in advance

What this position proposes

At the moment of choosing, more than one future is genuinely open, and the person, not prior causes, settles which one happens (libertarian free will).

Reasons

1.
When you deliberate, you experience more than one option as genuinely open.
Treating that universal experience as an illusion needs stronger evidence than we have.

Objections
- No, free will is an illusion · Doesn’t follow · Unsourced
Feeling free is exactly what we'd expect if we simply can't see the causes of our own decisions. The experience doesn't tell us which picture is true.
2.
Physics no longer says the future is fully fixed: quantum events appear to be genuinely random, so determinism may simply be false.
Unsourced
Objections
- Yes, free will fits a caused world · Doesn’t follow · Unsourced
Randomness doesn't help. A choice decided by a quantum coin flip is less yours, not more.
